We all know detox drinks are “the thing to do” but we also know they are normally $6 a shot or $12 a drink and they don’t taste that great. Thus, here I come to help you cut the cost by 1/5 add energy, health and tons of amazing benefits to your daily routine. The trick is trying to make detox drinks also taste good, so here I come with some tried and true recipes that will taste great and make you feel even better!
I can’t believe I am writing an article about detox drinks but I am getting old and taking care of my body and insides is becoming more important with every year or week-long hangover. With all the added benefits and superfoods in some of these recipes I feel like I could one day be able to fly or go back in time and I won’t write it off as a possibility. I also love them as it boosts my energy and I have cut back on the iced-skinny-mocha-lattes-with almond milk I drink significantly.
Detox drinks are great for daily consumption to help weight loss, your skin, hydration, detoxifying your insides, getting extra nutrients and a plethora of other benefits depending what you put in there. These juicing recipes below are all variations of apple cider vinegar drinks but with major additions to make them taste better and add extra benefits.
With all drinks I like to make a batch and store it in a jar for the week so I don’t have to make it daily and it is just ready for me in my fridge. As we know, the hardest thing with diets is sticking to them, so making it for a week will make sure you don’t have an excuse to take your morning medicine.
What is also great is you can easily transform these into smoothies if you wish.

Warning
Be careful to only add 1 tbsp or at most 2 to your water due to the strong acidity of apple cider vinegar. It is extremely acidic, can wear down tooth enamel and drinking it straight up can burn you the whole way down or potentially induce acid reflux if you have this issue and you take it before bed.
Drinking it through a straw isn’t a bad idea if you are drinking it often and want to protect your teeth. The best time to take it is when you wake up to get the day going as long as it doesn’t burn your empty stomach too bad, around noon and then again late afternoon or before dinner.
While there isn’t a plethora of scientific data supporting ACV there are testimonials abound of its benefits so why not give it a whirl.
