How did I come up with the idea for the best shot ever? Well, an old favorite shot of mine was called the Bottlecap. To anyone over 25, bottlecaps were this amazing candy and arguably one of the best sour candies on earth.
With that said, a shot was created where you took a few ingredients, mixed them together and the shot tasted just like a bottlecap! The Bottlecap shot was flavored rum, amaretto dropped into a glass of 7up. Pretty simple and albeit a touch sweet.
Fast forward 15 years and we have White Claw! It was a no brainer for me to make my favorite shot but make it even better by doubling down on the alcohol while also removing some of the sweetness from the 7up!
The best thing about hard seltzer shot recipes are that they are very versatile. You can switch flavors, used different liquors and play around with any tastes you think might go well together. You can try different sodas or even just used soda water in the glass if you want to make it a skinny white claw shot.

Amazing White Claw Hard Seltzer Shot Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 White Claw
- 1/2 oz fruit flavored vodka or rum
- 1/2 oz amaretto If no amaretto it works fine just using all 1oz rum or vodka.
Instructions
- Fill a short rocks glass with White Claw to just over the height of the shot glass.
- Mix amaretto and vodka/rum into shot glass.
- Drop shot glass of amaretto & rum/vodka into the white claw then chug!
