Best Bourbon Holiday Eggnog Cocktail Recipe

If you like bourbon or whiskey and eggnog… well then it seems you’re in the right place. Really this isn’t rocket-science but to be honest, you and I probably don’t even know if rocket science is really as hard as they say. Anyways, this cocktail is a perfect drink for bourbon lovers who still want a little happy holidays along the way!

This whiskey eggnog recipe is a perfect blend of the sweetness you want for the holidays but of course that sharp bite of eggnog. Yes, whiskey and bourbon are “different” but thankfully you can use either/or in this recipe… heck if you are Canadian you can even use rye in this recipe, what a crazy world!

Ingredients

  • 1 oz bourbon or whiskey or rye
  • 1.5 oz amaretto
  • Fill eggnog
  • Dash nutmeg optional
  • Garnish cinnamon, cinnamon sticks & maraschino cherries

Instructions

  • 1. Pretty simple. Mix all ingredients with ice in a shaker. Shake, serve over ice and garnish.
  • 2. You can always stir if you don't have a shaker.

    My new favourite! I don’t normally drink Bourbon or Whiskey, but I must say that this is delicious! I have always liked spiced rum and eggnog but the bourbon doesn’t seem to taste as sweet, I will definitely be drinking this during the holiday season!
