- Overall they all have similar steps but there are very important steps you can’t skip over when adding in fresh fruit or the non-standard ingredients.
Standard Mule
- Always add ginger beer at the end so you don’t stir it up and lose carbonation
- Ice in glass
- Vodka or Tequila & lime juice, shake it then add ginger beer. Optional: gently muddle ice in your cup prior.

Spicy Mango Guadalajara Mule

- Cut jalapeño and take out seeds so you don’t burn die every time a seed or multiple go into your mouth each drink.
- Cut jalapeño so it is flat and when you muddle it just expresses the juices vs. tearing it up.
- Add vodka & Ice into your mixing cup and shake well then pour into your drinking glass.
- DO NOT add ginger beer into shaker as you don’t want to lose carbonation
- Add ginger beer & stir
- Add garnish
Berry/Citrus/Strawberry Mule
- Add fruit & juice to your shaker or mixing up and muddle or crush.
- If mint is in recipe then add after muddling the juice so that you gently muddle and more press the mint to release the juices vs. tear up the mint and it ends up like grass clippings in your drink.
- Add vodka & ice into your shaker or mixing glass and shake well, then pour into glass
